Please be advised that the annual General Meeting of the VRQHA is to be held on the above date.  Can all nominations for office bearers be sent to Cassie Robinson at least 7 days prior to the meeting.

Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided by the club.

The 2010 sprint season has concluded after the final meeting at Camperdown was washed out

Race 3 - Special conditions - 380m - Open to all VRQHA horses that have started in 2010 at VRQHA meetings and have not won a race

Race 4            Open H/C            275m

Prize money for each race - $450 - $175 - $125
Please have your entries in by 5 p.m. Sunday 4th April

Nomination fees for a race day are:

1 horse   - $125.00
2 horses - $125 first horse, $100 2nd horse
3 horses - $125 first horse, $100 2nd horse, $75 3rd horse
4+ horses - $125 first horse, $100 2nd horse, $75 3rd horse
And $50 for 4th or more horses.

Please Note: The VRQHA has adopted the new whip rules from the ARB.

*NOTE: The race meeting on 27/02/2010 in Camperdown is being held on the SATURDAY not SUNDAY.

Camperdown races 31/01/10 have been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
This meeting will be rescheduled to early April.

Attention Trainers, Jockeys & Strappers.

Your licences are now due and should be paid by the first week in January in time
for our trial meeting on 17/01/2010. If you have not paid your membership, would
you please do this also. Forms can be found on this website in the racing info area.

If you intend to trial your horse on the 17/01/2010 at Caramut, could you please let
me know the details by phone (03 5438 3494) or email (cassawill@optusnet.com.au)
by Friday January 8th 2010. All new horses MUST trial twice satisfactorily before they
can race.

VRQHA Committee News

The committee has been very active since the AGM.

1. Has been able to secure a ex VRC Steward to oversee our race meetings.
2. Been able to negotiate a far better public liability insurance deal.
3. Has secured new racing venue in "Great Western".
4. Set up a Stallion Service Auction, comprising some the most notable Sprint Stallions from Australia and USA.
5. In the process of putting a race series (similar to last years Presidents Cup) together which is open to all horses.
